D* denied representation and held in isolation
Right, D* was locked in 24 x 7. This one
is a two piece toy he made to occupy his time. The boat is separate from
the waves.
After I circulated
the recording of D* calling for his dad, a
week since he had been locked up,
Dr. Clinton permitted D* to see his father for
30 minutes a day, but only in the middle of the afternoon and while supervised
and locked in the ward. She also 'granted' 10 minutes on the phone per day. Visits
and calls were carefully monitored and timed to the second.
This only lasted for one week, then visits were denied again. He was in complete isolation
for the third week.
D* explained to dad that he had asked for an attorney, he had asked to speak to a judge.
Somewhat strangely, he had also asked for asylum. He understood that to be a way not
to be forced to go somewhere he didn't want to go - back to H*. Ironically,
law requires a person
requesting asylum to be given a conference, it would have allowed him to explain he had been denied
an attorney or to be able to speak to a judge.
Due to actions of H* attorney, Mr. Lipman of the US Consulate, the child protective services,
and the psychiatric ward legal representatives,
D* was denied an attorney, he was denied his request to speak to a judge. He was denied
a conference with federal authorities. A Geneva
attorney independently went to the psychiatric ward and at the locked doors
demanded to have access to D*. He too was denied access. Reporters were denied access.
As doctor Clinton noted on in the recording on the home
page - this was being done with the blessings of child protective services (the SPMI).
Hence, in a country known
for human rights, 3 miles down the street from the President Wilson Building where the UN Convention
on the Rights of a Child was drafted - my son suffered in secrecy and without representation.
