Carol,
I should be a bit more direct instead of giving you examples. H*
has told me a number of times, including recently, that it is her goal
to get me out of D* life. I am not part of the plan. She has
spent a lot of money towards this end (a lot from my point of view).
Just last week she suggested that I stop seeing D* as though he
were some sort of utility that I should turn off. I have known H*
since about the time she came to the U.S. from South Korea, and I know
she is polite, intelligent, vindicative, manipulative, and she gets
what she wants. She has a low opinion of "stupid Americans" who she
views as easily manipulated. I also know she doesn't get along with
kids or dogs - go figure, she sued me for both. The dog has been locked
in the back yard ever since, and God knows what is going on with
D*. May God help him.
